Oops, I Lift! provides private fitness planning, workout, nutrition, recovery, progress, and educational supplement features. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
- Account information such as your email address and account identifier.
- Fitness-plan inputs such as age, height, weight, goals, training experience, available equipment, activity level, preferences, and limitations.
- Workout records, meal and food logs, nutrition totals, progress check-ins, goals, and coaching settings you choose to save.
- Progress photos you choose to upload to your private account storage.
- Support or privacy-request information you choose to send to us.
Watch, tracker, and device health information
Connecting Apple Health or Health Connect is optional. If you connect one, Oops, I Lift! reads only the categories you enable: steps, active-energy estimates, workouts or exercise duration, sleep duration, and resting heart rate. The app uses these daily summaries to show activity and recovery trends and provide the fitness guidance you request.
Oops, I Lift! does not request continuous second-by-second heart-rate streams or clinical health records in V1. Tracker-reported calories do not automatically increase your food target. You can change or revoke device health permissions in Apple Health or Health Connect settings.
Food search and barcode scanning
When you choose food search, your search terms are sent through the authenticated Oops, I Lift! food-lookup service to USDA FoodData Central so matching nutrition records can be returned. When you choose barcode scanning, the camera reads the barcode and the barcode number—not a saved barcode photo—is sent to the food-lookup service for a match.
Camera and photos
Camera and photo-library access is used only when you choose to take or select a private progress photo or scan a food barcode. Progress photos are intended to remain private to your account and are not displayed in a public gallery.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate your account, provide and save the fitness features you request, show your history and trends, calculate app guidance, operate optional food lookup and health connections, provide support, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
We use service providers needed to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication, database, private file storage, and server functions; Expo services for app builds and delivery; USDA FoodData Central for food-search and barcode nutrition matches; and Apple Health or Health Connect when you choose to connect device health data. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services under their own privacy and security obligations.
Advertising and sale of data
Oops, I Lift! does not show third-party ads, does not sell personal or health information, and does not use health, fitness, food-log, or progress-photo information for targeted advertising.
Storage, security, and retention
Account data is transmitted using encrypted connections and stored with account-based access controls. We retain information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and deletion
Food search, barcode scanning, progress photos, and device health connections are optional. You can delete your account and associated app data from the Account screen. You can also use our public account-deletion page if you cannot access the app.
Children
Oops, I Lift! V1 is designed for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children under 13.
